This Privacy Policy describes how the Saintly app ("Saintly," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information. We are committed to your privacy and handle your data with care.
1. Information We Collect
Voice Input. In Live Voice mode, microphone audio is transmitted directly to OpenAI over an encrypted WebRTC connection using a short-lived credential issued by our backend. In standard voice mode, your device converts speech to text and sends the text to our secure server. We do not intentionally create or retain microphone audio recordings.
Conversation Content. Conversation text is processed by our backend and OpenAI to generate a response. Recent conversation history may also be saved locally on your device so you can return to it.
Subscription Information. Purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and managed by RevenueCat. RevenueCat processes an app-user identifier and subscription status for purchase functionality. We do not receive your payment-card details. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Diagnostics. Our AWS-hosted backend may record limited request status, timestamps, and truncated service logs for security, debugging, and reliability. These logs are not used for advertising or tracking.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect your name, email address, or any account information.
- We do not collect your location.
- We do not intentionally retain audio recordings of your voice.
- We do not use advertising networks or sell your data to third parties.
- We do not use tracking pixels, third-party analytics, or behavioural profiling tools.
3. How We Use Your Information
Voice audio or conversation text is used to provide the requested AI response. Subscription identifiers are used to unlock purchased features. Limited diagnostics are used to protect, monitor, and improve service reliability.
4. Third-Party Services
Saintly uses the following third-party services:
- OpenAI — Generates responses and voice audio. Depending on the selected voice mode, microphone audio or conversation text is sent to OpenAI. OpenAI's privacy policy: openai.com/privacy.
- RevenueCat — Manages in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat's privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — Hosts our server and stores anonymous logs. AWS privacy policy: aws.amazon.com/privacy.
5. Children's Privacy
Saintly companion apps are not directed to children under 13. Please refer to the age rating shown on the App Store for each app. The apps do not require account creation.
6. Data Security
All communication between the app and our server is encrypted via HTTPS. Prayer history stored on your device is protected by your device's built-in security. We do not store personal data on our servers.
7. Your Rights
The apps do not create a named user profile. Local conversation history can be cleared in the app where available or by deleting the app. Privacy questions and requests may be sent to the contact address below.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
